Pivoting System

The tilting system is the heart of the MultiTrak tool carrier. Based on the operating principle of walk-behind tractors, where the machine pivots around the wheel axle according to the force applied by the operator, this unit is mounted on a central pivot connected to the track unit. This allows the tool attached to the front to be raised and lowered automatically.

A special linkage system allows the tool to move freely once it is resting on the ground, enabling it to follow the undulation and unevenness of the terrain along its longitudinal axis. The attachment, which is normally articulated in the transverse direction, also improves traction and working performance in the same direction. The pivoting assembly is powered by the twin-cylinder Honda GX690 petrol engine. When running, the combustion engine is also capable of keeping the batteries powering the electric drive gearmotors charged.

The Honda engine is connected to the front PTO through a dry centrifugal clutch with three friction shoes and friction elements, combined with a 3.5:1 planetary gearbox. It is also connected to the charging alternator via a double XPZ belt, resistant to high temperatures and oils. The alternator keeps the two 45 Ah batteries charged and it maintains a stable power supply to the electric motors.
The entire system is easily accessible and can be removed for routine maintenance when necessary.
